Description
Hello Fellow Divers!
So, you’ve completed your Open Water Diver (OWD) certification, and now you’re wondering, “What’s next?” You’re in the perfect place! Let me introduce you to the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver program—an exciting next step for certified divers who want to enhance their skills and knowledge. This course is designed to build on the foundation of your initial certification while making your underwater adventures even more thrilling!
What’s in Store for You?
By now, you’re already familiar with basic diving skills—how to descend, stay submerged, and safely return to the surface. But what if you could take your diving to the next level? In the Advanced Open Water course, you’ll gain the confidence to explore new environments and master new skills. Here’s what you’ll get to experience:
•Explore greater depths: Dive beyond 18 meters (60 feet).
•Master underwater navigation: Navigate unfamiliar dive sites with ease.
•Learn underwater photography: Capture stunning images of your underwater adventures.
•Experience a night dive: Discover the underwater world in a completely new light.
Course Structure and Dives
The course includes 6 dives that focus on expanding your skills. You’ll complete:
•A Navigation Dive (required)
•4 Elective Dives of your choice, such as:
◦Night Dive
◦Shipwreck Dive
◦Buoyancy Dive
◦Fish Identification Dive
◦Underwater Photography Dive
◦And more!
These dives are designed to improve your proficiency and give you the confidence to handle more advanced diving scenarios.
Stunning Dive Sites in Eilat
We conduct our dives at some of the most breathtaking locations around Eilat, with transportation provided via minibus. Here are a few of our favorite dive sites:
•Satil
•Caverns
•Princess
•Veronika
•Coral Reserves
Eilat’s crystal-clear waters, vibrant marine life, and diverse dive sites make it an ideal spot for the Advanced Open Water course. With each dive, you’ll experience the beauty of the Red Sea while refining your skills.
Theoretical Knowledge and Practical Training
While safety is a key focus of the course, you’ll spend most of your time in the water, practicing and applying what you’ve learned. Before the course begins, you’ll receive theoretical materials to review at your own pace. There’s no final exam; instead, you’ll take a few short quizzes to make sure you understand the essential concepts.
Combine with Nitrox for Even More Fun
Many divers choose to combine the Advanced Open Water course with the Nitrox course. Nitrox, or enriched air, allows for longer bottom times, especially on deeper dives. During the course, we’ll dive to 30 meters (100 feet), and using Nitrox will extend your dive time—making your experience even more enjoyable!
The Path Forward
The Advanced Open Water Diver certification is also a requirement if you plan to continue your dive education with the Rescue Diver course. Once you’re an Advanced Diver, you’ll be qualified to dive with buddies who have the same certification level. However, it’s always a great idea to dive with a guide when exploring new or unfamiliar dive sites.
