Description
Hey Certified Advanced Divers – Let’s Talk Safety – Yours and Others’!
Safety is the foundation of every great dive, and the PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to prepare you for emergencies. Whether you’re looking to improve your own safety or become the kind of diver who’s always ready to help others in need, this course is for you.
What is the PADI Rescue Diver Course?
The PADI Rescue Diver course is built around two main goals:
• Improving your own safety awareness: This is the first step in being able to help others in emergency situations.
• Training you to recognize and respond to dive-related emergencies: You’ll learn how to handle situations both on the surface and underwater.
As a Rescue Diver, you’ll learn to recognize signs of stress, fatigue, panic, or confusion in other divers. You’ll also gain the skills to respond with the right techniques for each situation.
What You’ll Learn
The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical training. Here’s what you’ll cover:
Theory
Before the course begins, you’ll receive study materials that you can review at your own pace. Alternatively, we can go over the content together in classroom-style presentations. This will ensure you’re fully prepared for the practical portion of the course.
Practical Exercises
The Rescue Diver course includes about 12 practical exercises, both on the surface and underwater, including:
• Self-rescue
• Assisting a tired diver at the surface
• Handling a panicked diver at the surface
• Responding to an emergency from a boat or shore
• Assisting a distressed diver underwater
• Managing panic underwater
• Searching for a missing diver
• Handling an unconscious diver at the surface and underwater
Once you’ve mastered these individual skills, you’ll put them to the test in two full rescue scenarios. These surprise mock emergencies, set up by your instructor, will challenge you to apply everything you’ve learned in realistic conditions.
Course Duration
The course takes place over two days, giving you the time to build the knowledge and skills needed to handle diving emergencies confidently, both for yourself and others.
Location: Eilat, Israel
