Dolphin Diving Adventure at “Katza” Dive Site

Are you excited to see dolphins up close? You’re in the right place! Let me introduce you to the dive site “Katza,” which is short for the Hebrew term “Pipeline from Eilat to Ashkelon.” The location is right next to Dolphin Reef, where you can find the playful dolphins.

Typically, we start the dive from “Katza” and swim underwater towards the reef, but we don’t enter the private area of the reef itself. Instead, we stay just outside the boundary. It’s a small area, and the dolphins tend to circle around. We just have to wait patiently until they come to us. Sometimes, they get curious and love playing games with the divers, doing flips, or swimming upside down right next to your head—it’s incredibly fun to watch!

On your way back, you’ll pass by the beautiful coral-covered pillars of the pier, which are some of the most stunning sights in the Eilat Bay. Depending on the time of year, you might even encounter schools of sardines swimming by in a spectacular display.

When enrolling for the dive, please consider your experience level. The dive isn’t deep, with a maximum depth of just 15 meters, but the swim is about 500 meters from the boat to the reef area.
