Description
The PADI Wreck Diver Course in Eilat is a specialty for certified Advanced Open Water divers who want to explore the Red Sea’s shipwrecks with confidence. This course teaches what basic training doesn’t cover: how to safely investigate a wreck, read its condition, and plan a dive with restricted movement.
What you’ll learn
- Evaluating a wreck’s condition: where it’s safe to penetrate and where to observe from outside
- Mapping a wreck and planning your dive route in detail
- Using specialized equipment: torches, reels, backup air tanks, gloves for metal work
- Swimming through narrow passages without touching walls — the key skill that protects both you and the wreck
- Team procedures: signals, role distribution, emergency exits
The Zero Visibility Dive
The signature exercise of this course is our zero visibility dive (video at the top of the page). We run it in shallow water under controlled conditions, simulating what happens when silt kicks up inside a wreck or your light fails. Your job is to stay calm, apply the by-touch exit procedure, and follow the guideline out. This is the skill that separates a certified Wreck Diver from someone who just swam through a hull.
